Step 2: Choose Your Barcode Plan
GS1 India offers different plans based on the number of barcodes you need and your annual sales turnover. Carefully assess your current product portfolio and future expansion plans to select the appropriate number of barcodes (e.g., 1-100, 1-1,000, 1-10,000, or 1-100,000). You cannot increase the number of barcodes later without a new registration.
Step 3: Fill out the Application Form

Step 4: Upload Required Documents
Scan and upload all the necessary documents. Ensure all documents are clear and as per the specifications provided by GS1 India.
Step 5: Make Payment
Pay the applicable barcode registration charges online. The fees vary based on your selected plan, annual sales turnover, and the subscription period (1, 2, 3, 5, or 10 years).
Step 6: Verification and Allotment
After you submit your application and payment, GS1 India will verify your documents and information. Once verified, they will allot your unique GS1 company prefix and the range of barcode numbers. You can then generate individual GTINs (Global Trade Item Numbers) for your products and create the barcode images. This completes the new barcode registration process.
